Het vers,
het is een brandend braambos, veel te dicht.
De hand die schrijft laat schrammen
op het vel en - naar ik hoop -
wat warmte nog,
dat wel.

Le vers,
il est comme un buisson ardent, beaucoup trop dense.
La main qui écrit laisse des griffures
sur la peau et - je l’espère -
un peu de chaleur,
ça oui.

The verse,
it is a burning bush, and much too dense.
The writing hand leaves scratches
on the skin and - hopefully -
a little warmth,
all right.
